All About Mrs. Massett

I moved to the Woodbridge area in the summer of 2008.  My teaching experience includes 2 years in DC, 7 years in Northern Virginia, 1 year in Virginia Beach and 3 years in Beaufort, SC to make a total of 13 years in the classroom.  I am so excited to start the next chapter in my professional career as a fourth grade teacher.  This year is very special because I have several students from my first class here at LRES.  Several of my students were my students when they were in first grade. It is very special to see how much these students have grown since they were with me three years ago.

I have only been with my students for a week, but I can tell that our class has a terrific combination of personalities.  I look forward to seeing how our class grows to become a close knit classroom family.

I am a Yankee at heart.  I grew up in Northwest, Connecticut in a small town called New Hartford.  I went to Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  I earned my Masters in Reading at The University of Virginia at the satellite campus in Falls Church, Va.  I love living in Virginia.

We have a wonderful little family of four.  We have a 4 year old boy named Charlie, and a 2 year old boy named Billy.
